since the last time it checked.
If so, it sends you mail notifying you of the fact.
You can override the default interval of 15 seconds
with the environmental variable $MAILNOTIFICATIONCHECKINTERVAL.
Options.
If you specify -r,
miff
automatically generates replies to the messages it sends.
If you specify
-y,

If you specify
-n,
mail notification is disabled.
If you specify
-d,
the site-dependent default is selected.
Most sites seem to prefer
-n
as the default.
