SHURE (THIEVES' HIDEOUT)

LOCATION

East and north of Arima.

DESCRIPTION

Long horizontal rectangle. Four levels. Level 2 has 4 stairs to enclosed rooms on level 1, and 4 stairs to level 3. Level 3 has one stair to level 4.

CHESTS

Five on level 1, of which four are locked. One on level 2. Two on level 3. One on level 4.

SOLUTION

  1. Enter, W to end, N to end, E to end, S and W to stair, and up.
  2. S and W to end, N to end, E to wall, S and E to stair, and up.
  3. E, S, and W to central bridge. W and N on bridge. E to end. S, W, S, W, and N to stair, and up.
  4. W to end of barrier, S to wall, W, N, W, S, E, S, W, S, E, S, W, S, E to doorway. N to dead thief and take SMALL KEY and LETTER.
  5. Return to level 2. Take all four peripheral down stairs in turn and open locked chests. Get 2 DYNAMITE.

NIDO (THIEVES' TOWER)

LOCATION

South and west of Shure.

DESCRIPTION

Two overlapping squares side by side, the east one displaced to the north. Three levels. Level 1 has four stairs to level 2, of which two can be reached from the entrance. Level 2 has three stairs to Level 3, of which one can be reached only by first descending to level 1.

CHESTS

Three on level 2. Two on level 3.

SOLUTION

  1. Enter, use DYNAMITE to pass doorway. E to end, N to wall, W past stair to wall, N, E, N and up.
  2. W, S, W, S, W to corridor, N, W and down.
  3. E to 2nd corridor, S, E and up.
  4. S, W and up.
  5. W, S, E to wall, N, E to corridor, N and W to Teim. Get TEIM.

BIOSYSTEMS LAB

LOCATION

South of Oputa; approached from the west.

DESCRIPTION

Three levels and a basement. Four sections, N, E, S, and W, joined by horizontal corridors. Level 3 also has a central section with a hole leading through levels 2 and 1 to the basement. Basement has a center section, and four other sections, NW, NE, SE, and SW, joined to it by horizontal corridors. Basement has energy hazards. The SW section has a stair to level 1, leading to an alternate exit.

CHESTS

Three on level 2, one in each section except the S. One on level 3 S. Three in basement, one each in NW, SW, SE.

SOLUTION

  1. Enter, use DYNAMITE to pass doorway. N, W to W section, N to 1st corridor, W to end, N, E to N section, N, E, N and up.
  2. S, E to wall, S to hole.
  3. E to E section, E to end, S to slab, W, N, W and up.
  4. N, E, N, W, and up.
  5. W, S, E to end, S, W, S, W to S section. S and W to chest. Get DYNAMITE. E, N, E to E section, E, N to 1st corridor, W to end, N, W to N section. N to wall, W, N, W, S, W, S, W to W section. W to 2nd corridor, S, W to end, S to end, E to S section. E and N to door. Use DYNAMITE. Enter hole.
  6. W, N, W to NW section. W to end, N to end, E to end, S, E to NE section. N, E, S, W to recorder. Get RECORDER. Return to center section. S, E, S, W, S, W to SW section. N, W, and S to stair.

RORON (GARBAGE DUMP)

LOCATION

On peninsula south and east of Zema.

DESCRIPTION

Four levels, going down. Level 1 is two small rooms surrounded by darkness. The northern room leads to levels that run eastward, the southern room to levels that run westward.

CHESTS

Eastern section: one on level 2, one on level 3, one on level 4. Western section: one on level 2, one on level 3, one on level 4. Some contain garbage.

SOLUTION

  1. Go around N room, enter S room, and down.
  2. E, S, W, N, W, 2nd turning N, W, N, W and down.
  3. S, W and down.
  4. S, E, and S to owners of Jet Scooter.

UZO

LOCATION

Hidden in the hills on the large island.

DESCRIPTION

One big level in the form of a range of hills, with six pairs of caves joining distant points.

CHESTS

None.

SOLUTION

N, E, N, W, N, N, W, S, W, N, W, S, E, S, W, S, E, N, W, cave, E, N, E, N, E, N, E, S, E, S, E, cave, W, N, E to Maruera Tree. (Brief solution: keep to the left till first cave, then keep to the right.)

CLIMATROL

LOCATION

Beneath the discolored spot in the ocean.

DESCRIPTION

Nine levels. Level 1 is a forking labyrinth under water with energy hazards. Level 2 is a simple skeleton of corridors. Levels 3-5 are small square rooms with large holes in the center of 4 and 5. Levels 6-9 are a conventional maze in the form of a long horizontal rectangle.

One each on levels 4 and 5. Two on level 7. Three on level 8.

  1. W, SW, NW, NW, W, SW and up.

PIATA (CONTROL TOWER)

LOCATION

In the middle of a group of three towers on the edge of Piata. Cannot be entered while Climatrol is operating.

DESCRIPTION

Two levels, horizontal rectangles with many stairs.

CHESTS

None.

SOLUTION

  1. W, N, E to passage N, W and up 6th stair.
  2. S, W and down.
  3. S and up.
  4. E and down.
  5. E and up.
  6. E and down.
  7. N, E, S and up.
  8. E to third stair from left in room, and down.
  9. N and up.
  10. S, E, N into passage to piano and use MUSIK. Leave room and go N around it to CARDS.

RED DAM

LOCATION

At source of south river. Use Jet Scooter.

DESCRIPTION

Three levels in the shape of a long horizontal rectangle. The entry is on Level 2, which consists of three separate chambers. <MAP>

  1. Open door with Red Card. N and W to stair, and down.
  2. S, W, N and up.
  3. S, W, S and down.

YELLOW DAM

LOCATION

At source of west river.

DESCRIPTION

Four levels. A long horizontal rectangle, widened at the ends. <MAP>

  2. S, W, N into 1st passage and down.

BLUE DAM

LOCATION

At source of east river.

DESCRIPTION

Five levels shaped like a sideways T with the crossbar at the west. <MAP>

LOCATION

At source of north river.

DESCRIPTION

Very long horizontal rectangle. Two levels divided vertically into compartments. Level 2 has long holes at north and south, leading to river. <MAP>

SOLUTION

Open door with Green Card. S and up. N and W between pools, and down. W and up. N to wall, W and down. W and up. W, N, and E into passage. E to end of wall, then S, W, and S to wall. Down W stair. N, W, S and up. W and N to Control.

GAILA (SATELLITE)

LOCATION

In space. The Army Eyes take you there after you open the four dams.

DESCRIPTION

One level. Energy hazards.

SKURE

LOCATION

In the central pit on Dezo.

DESCRIPTION

Three levels. Level 1 is level with the planet's surface and contains the Spaceship. On level 2 four stairs lead up to the surface. <MAP>

9 on level 2. 10 on level 3. Some contain old newspapers.

DESCRIPTION

Three levels, with pits on the top two. Level 1 has four stairs to the brink of the crevice. <MAP>

MENOBE TEMPLE

LOCATION

W of Aukba. Can be seen only with Aeroprism.

DESCRIPTION

Four levels, consisting of a central chamber and two large quadrants to the southwest and southeast. <MAP>

CHESTS

One on level 1, one on level 2, two on level 3.

SOLUTION

Neicrown: N to central chamber, and up center stair. N, SE, and E to first doorway. S, E, S and W through narrow passage, W, N, W, N and down. SW to Neicrown.

Neimet: N to central chamber, and up center stair. N and W to W edge of quadrant. S to 2nd doorway, N to wall and up. E and around central chamber to E edge of E quadrant. S to doorway, N and up. S to S edge of quadrant, W, N and W around gap, S, W, S and down.

GUARON

LOCATION

W of Ryuon. Can be seen only with Aeroprism.

DESCRIPTION

16 levels. Level 1 includes some ground outside the walls. Higher levels form a slender tower. Levels 2, 8, and 9 give onto adjoining areas. <MAP>

CHESTS

Two on level 1, one on level 2, one on level 8, one on level 9, one on level 16.

SOLUTION

Use the main entrance and go northward and westward till you reach the side exit. Go W and S through the trees and find two doorways. Enter at the one to the east to reach the tower. The Neicape lies on level 8 and the Neiarmor on level 16.

IKUTO

LOCATION

W of Zosa. Can be seen only with Aeroprism.

DESCRIPTION

Seven levels. An underground pyramid without stairs, only holes, except for a staircase leading from level 7 to level 1. <MAP>

CHESTS

One on level 3, one on level 4, two on level 5, two on level 6.

SOLUTION (not unique)

Neishot: 1. Middle. 2. Middle. 3. N and W to end of corridor. 4. NE. 5. N and W. 6. N to Neishot.

Neislasher: 1. E. 2. Middle. 3. E. 4. N to N wall and W to end of corridor. 5. SE. 6. E and S to Neislasher.

NAVAL

LOCATION

S and E of SW exit from Skure, near Pit. Can be seen only with Aeroprism.

DESCRIPTION

5 levels. Cylindrical, with two paths winding around a central shaft. The top level has four ramps from which to fall into the shaft. <MAP>

CHESTS

Seven on interior of level 2.

SOLUTION

Neishield: S stair and climb to level 5. S on walkway and jump off E side at each level.

Nei Emel: N stair and climb to level 5. N on walkway and jump off W side at each level.

NOAH (SPACESHIP)

LOCATION

In space. Lutz will send you there after you get the Neisword.

DESCRIPTION

2 levels in the shape of a long vertical rectangle. Part of the maze is inaccessible. <MAP>

One on level 1, but you won't like what's in it.
