Mike Reid's Polyomino Rectification Pages

Mike Reid was a mathematician at the University of Central Florida. One of his specialties was combinatorial geometry. He maintained an extensive website, which was destroyed after he died in 2025.

One section of his site was devoted to tiling rectangles with various polyominoes. It included many references and links. It was a useful and valuable resource for combinatorial geometry.

I am reconstructing Mike's rectification pages from copies stored at the Internet Archive. A replica of his starting page is here:

Rectifiable Polyominoes

Many of the GIF images of tilings were not archived, and so are lost. These are indicated by descriptive text in [brackets]. For a few tilings I have supplied PNG images to replace the missing GIF images. They appear in green:

[2 × 4 rectangle]

These tilings may differ from Mike's.

Many of the reference links may be obsolete.
